Hometown History Update: An "award winning" podcast
Hometown History NJ was awarded the top prize for historical podcasts in the 2024 Davey Awards
The 2024 Summer Olympics are over, but here at Hometown History NJ we’re been anxiously awaiting the announcement of a different type of gold metal ceremony: the 2024 Davey Awards. And guess what folks? This morning your favorite local New Jersey history podcast took the top spot on the podium!
We’re been honored as a Gold Winner by the 2024 Davey Awards as the Best Podcast Series - Documentary & Historical.
The Davey Awards is an international awards program, honoring outstanding creative and marketing work exclusively from small shops, boutique agencies, internal creative teams and independent creators. The media types honored include Websites, Design & Print, Video, Advertising & Marketing, Mobile Apps & Sites, Social Media, Branded Entertainment, Emerging Tech, Podcasts, and more.
Ryan Ross and I have worked incredibly hard to bring our listeners a really impressive, engaging and thoughtful podcast series about local New Jersey history. We’re incredibly proud of the work we’ve done so far and are thrilled to receive this award as an indication that we’ve created something that people truly value and enjoy.
If you also value and enjoy Hometown History NJ, consider supporting us!
Now, awards are great and all (and we truly do love getting that lovely gold hardware) but MORE important to the sustainability and longevity of Hometown History NJ are listener donations. So please consider giving us your support in the form of a $5 donation today, as a way to send your congratulations or to show us you want more high quality podcast episodes about New Jersey history.
And finally, thank you so much for your support over the last year of Hometown History NJ. We look forward to celebrating more milestones like this one with you!
